Space Flight Activities
In the near future!
The newly licensed Oklahoma Spaceport is located in the National Airspace System(NAS) and has signed and agreement with the FAA/ARTC Regional Office establishing a protected Reusable Launch Vehicle(RLV) flight corridor, offering the advantage that eliminates the possible conflicts of utilizing military airspace and making the Oklahoma Spaceport idea for space commerce.
Armadillo Aerospace has been using the Oklahoma Spaceport for their flight testing of the Lunar Lander in competition in the X-Prize Cup. We are very proud to be a part of thier success and welcome them to our facility. Click on the links below to see some of the testing they have accomplished here at the Oklahoma Spaceport.
Armadillo Test Schedule at the Oklahoma Spaceport:
Armadillo will be back at the Oklahoma Spaceport at the end of October or first of November pending current testing in Texas. Next test will include a powered accent and powered decent up to 10,000 ft.

Full LLC1 flight
One June 2, Armadillo Aerospaceconducted a complete LLC 1 operational profile at the Oklahoma Spaceport. Everything went great. Representatives from AST and the X-Prize Cup were present. This was the first flight under experimental permit rules from a licensed spaceport. Both legs of the flight landed within a meter of the pad center, and thier operation time was only an hour and a half. Great Job Armadillo!!!
